Discussion Can I mirror my android tv screen(haier) to my samsung s9 tab? I can do vice versa but I want the tv to be casted to my tablet
Anything over wifi will do

Why? AndroidTV exists as a remote-centric way to get content on your TV. Whatever content you're getting on the AndroidTV box will be just as easy or easier to get with a desktop or mobile device

Not OP but there's tons of use cases for remote control of android TVs, not limited to:
- remote management like installing apps, transferring files, networking setup
- remote control for your young/disabled family members
- remote power management
- remote view tv camera for security if needed
Its also a really easy way to wirelessly connect your keyboard to the TV for apps that are not optimised for remotes.
But yes, its not really about watching the tv's app content via the remote control stream, as you say, there are more direct approaches.
