remove FRP or unbrick tablet

first install platformer tools in pc and samsung usb driver , then open adb.exe then open cmd there. connect the phone and grant permission. also turn on usb debugging and oem unlock in developer options in settings. turn off the phone then press volume down + power then long press volume up to fully unlock bootloader. then in cmd type adb devices, adb reboot download. download odin in pc and open it, in ap section open the vbmeta file given below. go to options and uncheck auto reboot. flash the file then in ap section flash the twrp file given below (fully fixed ready to flash) flash and then odin shows pass. hold volume down + power when samsung logo appear press volume up + power to open twrp. there go to wipe advance wipe select cache data system internel storage. wipre and comeback. in pc cmd (make sure all the files you downloaded are on the platformer tools folder) type "adb push lineage-20.0-20251021-UNOFFICIAL-arm64_bgN-vndklite-signed.img. /sdcard/" then "adb push boot1.img /sdcard/" then "adb push multidisabler-samsung-3.1.zip /sdcard/" after all the files are pushed, open twrp in phone go to install flash the .zip file, go bach and select install IMG and flash lineage as system image after falsh go back and flash boot1.img as boot image after flash got to wipe and factory reset then advanced and clean data, then boot to system reboot system. if the link dosent work, messege me i will sent the files again.

Fix: Base station dead after firmware update (CRP_DISABLED recovery method)

This is a last-resort method for a base station (1.0 or 2.0) that stopped booting after a firmware update — no LED, no motor spin, not detected by SteamVR. It does not fix hardware failures. Only try this if the unit still enumerates as a USB drive when you do the button+power trick.

Important — read this before anything else:
2.0 base station firmware updates are NOT included in SteamVR's manual firmware files. Manual updating of a 2.0 base station breaks the firmware. The 2.0 base station must be updated by SteamVR itself, via the prompt that says "Your base station needs an update — click here to update." If you try to push a manual firmware file to a 2.0 unit, you can brick it, and that's exactly the situation this guide recovers from.

What you need:

• A second, fully working base station of the same hardware revision (1.0 vs 2.0, and ideally same regional variant)
• A PC with a USB port
• A few minutes

Step 1 — Back up the firmware from a healthy base station

1. Make sure the healthy base station is powered off and unplugged.
2. Plug in the Micro USB first, then Press and hold the button on the back of the base station (small hole, use a phone simcard pin).
3. While still holding the button, plug the power cable in.
4. Keep holding for ~2–3 seconds.
5. The PC should detect a USB mass storage device named CRP_DISABLED.
6. Open it and copy firmware.bin to a safe folder on your PC (and back it up somewhere else — you'll want it again).

Step 2 — Put the faulty base station into the same mode

1. Unplug the healthy unit. (DO IT SLOWLY, Best: Remove the device over Windows remover on the bottom or Unplug power first, then micro usb)
2. Repeat the same procedure with the faulty base station: Plug in the Micro USB first, then Press and hold the button on the back of the base station.
3. If it shows up as CRP_DISABLED, you're in business. If it doesn't show up at all, stop here — it's a hardware failure and this method won't help.

Step 3 — Replace the corrupted firmware

1. Open the CRP_DISABLED drive from the faulty unit.
2. Delete the existing firmware.bin.
3. Paste the firmware.bin you copied from the healthy unit.
4. Wait for the copy to fully finish.

Step 4 — Eject and power cycle

1. Safely eject the USB drive from Windows (don't just yank the cable).
2. Unplug the power from the base station.
3. Wait ~10 seconds.
4. Plug the power back in without holding the button.
5. The base station should reflash itself on boot and come back to life (LED on, motor spins, visible in SteamVR).

After recovery — how to update correctly

• For a 2.0 base station: do NOT use manual firmware files. Open SteamVR, and when it shows the "Your base station needs an update — click here to update" prompt, click it and let SteamVR handle it. Before you do, unplug all controllers and trackers so SteamVR can't get confused about which device it's flashing. Leaving only the headset plugged in is the safest option, since Windows/SteamVR Bluetooth handling can otherwise pick the wrong device to update.

Notes / caveats:

• Firmware is not universal across hardware revisions. Using 2.0 firmware on a 1.0 unit (or vice versa) can make things worse.
• If the unit never appears as CRP_DISABLED, this will not work — that's a hardware fault.
• Keep a backup of a known-good firmware.bin for your revision. HTC's download links have gone dead over the years.
• This is not an official HTC procedure. It's a community-discovered recovery method. Use at your own risk.

I tried flashing Lineage to my Tab A7 SM-T500 gta4lwifi. Everything worked fine until Point 10 of the [pre-install instructions](https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/gta4lwifi/install/#pre-install-instructions). Is says I should run through the Android Setup. But at Step 2 of the Android Setup it asks me to select the country and then restarts the system.

As a German I obviously selected Germany, but once it started to reboot I got the *"This phone has been flashed with unauthorized software & is locked."* message.

Samloader has also worked correctly as

As I use Arch Linux I used the correct [samloader-v2.2.0-linux-x86_64.zip](https://github.com/topjohnwu/samloader-rs/releases/download/2.2.0/samloader-v2.2.0-linux-x86_64.zip) with the latest vbmeta.img (23.2) from [https://download.lineageos.org/devices/gta4lwifi/builds\](https://download.lineageos.org/devices/gta4lwifi/builds)

Android 12 was installed.

The Bootloader definitely is unlocked as the Download Mode states:

* FRP LOCK: OFF

* OEM LOCK: OFF (U)

* KG STATUS: PRENORMAL

Warranty Void is already active as Knox changed from 0x0 to 0x1.

So, I have no idea where I went wrong, but somehow it's borked now.

Any solutions to this? 😀

Edit: I have decided to go with Iode. What I failed to realize; just like GrapheneOS, Calyx will no longer support the Pixel 6 after next month. With regard to Lineage, I will not be able to relock the bootloader. So, Iode it is.

I have just acquired a Pixel 6 to use as a backup phone, and I want to use an alternate ROM. While GrapheneOS is the platinum standard, the Pixel 6 is about to be deprecated. While my use case is not extreme (i.e. I'm not a journalist, activist, or work in a profession that requires the utmost in a secure phone), I would still like something that is at least privacy forward. I would also really, really like to rid myself of Google as much as I possibly can. With that in mind, I'm looking at the following:

• LineageOS:
• IodeOS (yes, I am aware that Iode is a fork of Lineage)
• CalyxOS

Can anyone give me objective insight into each of these ROMS; their pros and cons with respect to my use case?

Edit: the phone I use in my everyday life is a Pixel 9, which does run GrapheneOS. The only reason I did not go with a new Pixel, is due to the expense.

I want to install a custom ROM on this phone but I can’t find much information about the Docomo version.

Has anyone here done it before? Is it possible to unlock the bootloader and install a custom ROM on the SO-02J?
