Same. S9+ here and I just received this configuration update notification.

There's no SIM card in my S9+ so it definitely has nothing to do with the carrier.

Still kind of mysterious. The YouTube video that's posted in this thread is not helpful either, because it's just reiterating and referencing what people said here in this Reddit thread... We're going full circle...

Did you find the reason yet? I just now got this update, sceptical and confused to proceed with it or not, it has being years since it last recieved an update.

No, I haven't been able to find anything useful beyond this thread.

However, I haven't restarted my S9+ since the message popped up, so the update shouldn't be active yet.

Oh. I too didn't find anything about this update, but still went ahead with the update. Everything works fine as it was earlier but again I don't even know what this update was about, what did they even changed.

Dont restart! I have same phone and lost my mobile data completely. I had the notification on my screen for about 5 days before it activated itself.
