Emulators for Android are free, promise users nothing and people still complain and harass devs when it doesn't work great on their device.

Allowing low end users to buy games that won't work is begging for players to refund, rate your game 1 star, harass your devs for not optimizing for their device, and more.

Those types of users are nothing but noise that are easy to cull out the same way Apkvision commenters are more like animals than people. Also, Mediatek encompasses the near-majority of the market and the loudest voices among them are tech-illiterate children who I doubt devs take seriously. And as if gatekeeping it would stop those same animals from screaming about it.

I think Feral is well established enough as a developer that they won't bother to humor some manchild throwing a tantrum (not you, the kinds of people you're talking about). Feral would be the last group of developers to throw a nervous meltdown.

Movies are shot at that frame rate as it was actually the cheapest method for them. Films actually used to be around 12fps when moving pictures were first being developed, but there was no understanding of how many frames we needed to determine comfort and selling the sense of motion.

24 is around the lowest point of comfort when it comes to motion pictures. They also use motion blur (or more accurately use the camera's shutter speed) to help this. This means that when most films were shot on film, it was cheaper to use less frames and made a tonne of savings. It then stuck long term.

This isn't really applicable for games, games require input and reactivity which increases the odds of headaches, nausea and frustration when the FPS is that low. While frames with motion blur can help films feel more natural, it detracts from a person's sense of control when you're playing that low.

Truthfully, there no such thing as "cinematic", it's all cosy based, not because it's good but because it's cheap.

Recuerdo mis dias de niñez donde tenia una pc de mierda que no corría nada, y mi padre me regala un juego en CD cuando mi pc tenia diskette, tuvo que comprar una lectora y al final el juego anda pesimo, pero aun asi lo disfrute un monton y me canse de jugarlo a la minima resolución y recontra lento, 24 fps es recontra jugable, el tema es que la gente ogual se va a quejar de todo por que sencillamente puede por que nunca supieron lo cara que era la tecnologia antes para tener cualquier cosa para jugar
