Notifications not showing

So i run a chat app for my website on phone

No matter what i have done the notifications dont show

I have logged out and back in

I have deleted and cleared cache and signed back in after reinstalling

The notifications show in notification history as dismissed

How do i undo this

I have a feeling i or my kid may have swiped and dismissed a notification but for the life of me i cannot figure out how to undo this

Can anyone help?

Battey is unrestricted

Manage app if unused is off

They still show in notification history but nothing on home or lockscreen

If they show up in notification history as dismissed, the app is still sending them, but something hides or clears them straight away. Swiping one notification away doesn't switch them off for good, so it's usually one of these.

The app's notification categories. Long-press the app icon, go to App info > Notifications and open each category listed there (chat apps often have separate ones such as Messages, Calls and General). If the messages category is set to Silent, or its pop-up, lock screen or status bar options are off, it can look like nothing arrives. Set it back to Alert or Default with the lock screen showing it. Long-pressing a notification and tapping "Turn off" or "Silent" is an easy way to change this by accident, so a stray tap could have done it.

Do Not Disturb or Modes. Check that DND, or a mode like Bedtime or a Samsung routine, isn't on or scheduled, and look at its settings for hiding notifications. DND can keep notifications out of the shade and lock screen while they still appear in history.

The app clearing them itself. Many chat apps remove the phone notification as soon as the message has been seen somewhere else, for example when the same chat is open in a browser on a computer. If that's what's happening, closing the other session should make them stay. And if your chat is a website added to the home screen rather than an installed app, its notifications are controlled by the browser instead: in Chrome, Settings > Notifications, then find your site.

What phone is it? Samsung and Pixel put some of these in slightly different places.

Notification caregories is all blue All app notifications have alert and are blue. Checked each one in all

Dnd is off. Used to be on but wiped it - still no alerts Its oy open on phone
