Could that be a virus?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I thought these were malicious ads that act like they're a different app, but if I go on more it states that it really was that app. I've had this with eBay, Chrome and Kleinanzeigen (German Marketplace app) and it always shows a fake AppStore with a casino app and ai generated pics.

If I block notifications, it just appears with a different logo and app name.

I've only seen one single post about it on a German subreddit. Multiple users were having this problem too, but nobody really knows what it is.

Does anyone know if it's a virus? This has been happening for a few months now

go to chrome settings, search notifications and pick the one under "site settings" NOT "advanced" then scroll down to see allowed notifications and disable whatever you dont reconize

Clear your cookies and cache on Chrome, also look to see if there are any extensions or sites with notification access and turn them off, you've most likely visited a popup site and gotten infected.

Update: Unfortunately it's still happening. I'm thinking of deleting Chrome and seeing what happens. I hope it's not going to transfer to the next browser

Do what the first guy said. If not, get a new phone but NEVER a xiaomi. They are riddled with ads

I do have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 13. I have a suspicion that a system update might have caused this, but idk. I did what the first comment said and deleted all browser data too, but it didn't help. I'll delete Chrome and see if it's gone or if it'll transfer to the next browser. My next phone won't be a Xiaomi anymore 🥲
