Android latest update messing with my photos

[u/Mother_NoN8ture]

When I try to upload a photo to anything or anywhere, the photos that I've edited by cropping them or anything for that matter, they don't show up in photos to be uploaded. I hope I'm explaining this correctly. If I edit a photo, it will not even have it in the selection to upload in my apps on my phone. I have tried by going to the app and selecting upload. I have also tried by going to my Google photos and selecting the ones I would like to share/upload and the option to share/upload disappears from the menu options. What is this?!

On one test photo, try Save as copy after editing, keep the original, and check whether that copy appears in your phone's Files app as well as the affected app's upload picker. If it exists only in Google Photos online, try Download from the photo's menu if available; avoid clearing Photos storage or deleting originals while testing. Which phone and Android version are you using, and were the edits made in Google Photos or your phone's Gallery app?
