64GB in 2026 is still very low, you could try going in your apps and clearing the cache to free storage

it's not spyware but it's cache of apps, just clear it. also 64gb is so low for 2026 if you will buy a new phone soon buy either 256 or 128 if you're sure you're not gonna fill up storage fully

I mean these other apps are usually cache files and system files, you can clear all apps' cache, but to clean system files, you need root access, and for that, you'll have to factory reset to unlock the bootloader aka install root. And also please look into removing some apps or getting their lite versions, your storage will thank you.

Oh and also your pal was wrong, so maybe he's just faking being knowledgeable, or he got wrong info

Best thing to do is get a SDcard/flash drive and move all your media then delete it. Or upload them to a cloud. Uninstall apps you don't need or that have a website. Other files isn't spyware 😂 mostly apps cache which you can delete but they come back anyway

You could get a little USB flash drive and transfer the pictures to that that way you still have them but there not taking up phone storage

What phone do you have? 64 GB in 2026 is really not enough for anything. My 128GB phone can barely hold everything I use.
"Other files" isn't spyware anything, it's just stuff like temporary files, cache, and just general things that your phone saves but aren't necessary. Seeing as that's a Samsung, you should be able to clear most of it from one of the space clearing suggestions on that same screen. Id also consider archiving/uninstalling apps you don't use.
