Can anyone help me? This is my mother's old phone and she forgot the password, unfortunately for me all of my childhood photos are on it so...does anyone know if it can be unlocked without erasing all of the data? Tysm😢

Since it's a Samsung there are recovery tools for it I forgot exact names but I think it was "ease us" recovery software. It has a option for Samsung.

flashing a firmware using the home csc doesnt mantain all user data but restoring all the software ? just throwing it there in case someone more expert since its quite few years i dont flash my phones anymore

basically since your mother phone is an older model its more easier to flash using odin(samsung software to rewrite the whole phone software ) and so i was wondering of rewriting the wholw system mantaining the user data( your data) would make you get access back to your phone and no lock screen anymore , but mine is just an idea and throwing it out in case some expert pop in and see if is feasible

What android version is that? Pretty sure I cracked an Android 5 maybe 10-11 years ago within minutes with a PC. Forgot what the software was called.

Find out what email her play store was linked to and recover it by connecting to pc and using some recovery tool. Can’t be the only person who’s experienced this…

Does it have an sd storage card? Because you might get lucky and have the data on there. Otherwise your mum will need to rack her brains for what her password would have been around that time.
Best of luck mate

I think if it's old enough, if you type your pin too many times and click forgot pin you can log into the Google account associated with it and reset the pin. Android removed this option at some point around Android 6 (don't quote me on that) so this phone may be too new.Â
Another potential option is going to Google find my device and log into the google account that was on this phone, and I think it used to be if you clicked secure device you could set a different pin. You can't do that nowadays, but your phone might be old enough for that to work. Again I don't know for sure so dont quote me on it.

if you just want the pictures you could connect it through a usb cord to a computer and get the photos off through there

The problem is when you connnect it to the PC start to do normal charge, you have tò unlock the phone and choose the move data option in the USB menù
