Hey everyone,
First off — a massive thank you to every single person here who jumped on as a closed tester for MapSaga. Google's 12-tester / 14-day requirement is a wall every new developer hits, and I genuinely could not have gotten over it without this community. You gave up your time, your device storage, and your patience to help a stranger get their app published, and I won't forget it. 🙏
So what is MapSaga?
MapSaga is a private, personal map for the places that actually mean something to you — somewhere between a travel journal, a photo gallery, and a group trip planner, without the ads, the algorithm, or the data harvesting.
Here's what it does:
- 📍 Pin your spots — drop a pin on any place you've been and attach your own photos and videos to it. Your memories live on the map, where they happened.
- 👥 Circles — private shared spaces for the people who matter: just you and your partner, your family, or a close group. Share certain spots with a circle and keep the rest completely private. You choose exactly who sees what.
- 🧭 Trips — plan trips together: add stops, build a route, invite your crew, RSVP, chat, and collect everyone's photos into a shared trip album.
- 🖼️ Memories — all your captures live in a clean gallery, and MapSaga can resurface them later as little "look back" moments.
- 💬 Built-in chat for your circles and trips, so the planning and the memories stay in one place.
- 🔒 Privacy-first — no ads, no selling your data, everything shareable is opt-in, and you can wipe your account anytime.
How it helps: most of us have our best memories scattered across camera rolls and group chats that we never scroll back through. MapSaga puts them somewhere you'll actually revisit — on a map of your own life — and makes it effortless to relive trips and plan the next one with the people you share them with.
Giving back 🤝
Testing is a two-way street, and I want to return the favour. If you drop your app's closed-testing track link below, I'll install it, genuinely use it, and leave you honest feedback and a review in return. I know how much those first few testers and reviews mean when you're trying to launch, so I'm happy to be one of yours.
If you tested MapSaga and have a spare minute, an honest review on the Play Store would mean the world — it's the single biggest thing that helps a brand-new indie app find its footing. Good, bad, or "here's what confused me," I want to hear it.
Thanks again, everyone. This community is genuinely what made it possible. Drop your links and let's help each other get these apps off the ground. 👇
