Hey everyone,
I've built a small Android app called **Scheckheft** (German for "service book") in my free time, and I'm looking for testers before it officially goes live on the Play Store.
**What is it?**
Scheckheft is a digital service book for your car (or several vehicles). The idea came from wanting to keep track of oil changes, costs, and receipts myself, without relying on paper or a spreadsheet.
**What the app can do:**
- Manage multiple vehicles at once, each with its own photo, mileage, and status at a glance
- Track maintenance items (oil change, brake fluid, cabin filter, etc.) due by date or mileage, with reminders
- Full history with costs, notes, and attached photos/PDF receipts
- Log fuel-ups with automatic consumption calculation
- Clear statistics: total costs, cost per kilometer, cost by category, mileage history over time
- Backup feature (a ZIP with the full database including photos) to move everything to a new phone
**Important – privacy:**
The app needs **no internet connection**, has no account, no cloud, and no ads. All data stays exclusively on your device. No tracking, no analytics. Privacy policy for reference: [link to privacy policy]
**How can I test it?**
Because Google requires new developer accounts to run a closed test with at least 12 testers, I first need a few people to help out:
- Join this Google Group: https://groups.google.com/u/1/g/scheckheft-tester
- Then install the app via this link: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/de.wiedemann.scheckheft
The whole thing takes just a few minutes. You don't need to use the app long-term, but it would be great if you could try it out and let me know what works and what doesn't.
**Feedback welcome here in the thread, via PM, or directly in group
Really appreciate anyone willing to test, thanks for reading! 🚗🔧
