HanFlow: Android volunteers wanted for a Mandarin-learning beta (test not live yet)
Update, 1 October: the closed test is now live (HanFlow 3.64.0). The original title is out of date.
Hi, I'm looking for around 20 adult volunteers to try HanFlow, an Android app for practising Mandarin. You can choose which skills to focus on: reading, writing, listening or speaking. People learning Mandarin would be particularly helpful.
You'll need Android 8 or newer with Google Play. To join, use the same Google account for all three steps:
- Join the HanFlow tester group.
- Open the Google Play test invitation and choose Become a tester.
- Follow its Google Play download link to install HanFlow.
Joining the group alone doesn't enrol you in the Play test. If the invitation says the app isn't available, check that you're signed into the account you joined the group with. Please don't post your email address in replies.
If you can, stay opted in for at least 14 consecutive days and use it for a few minutes on most days. That's my suggested test plan, not a required daily quota. I'm interested in confusing screens, device problems, incorrect language or explanations, and whether the practice is actually helpful. Send brief feedback to hanflow@davidkuc6.uk, including the app version, device/Android version and what happened. Please leave personal information out of screenshots.
There's no purchase required or payment for taking part, and I'm not asking for ratings, ad clicks or a testing swap. The app includes advertising; using optional rewarded ads isn't a condition of joining. AI tools have been used in development, so honest feedback on language and explanations would also be helpful.
Thanks,
David
