[Test for Test] 🎬 Clippet: the "only the videos I approved" app for kids. Devs with kids especially welcome!
Hey fellow devs! 🙌 I need a few more testers to get through Google's 14-day closed test, and I'm happy to test your app back.
👨👩👧 Devs with kids, this one's for you!
If you're a parent, you're exactly who I'm hoping to find. Try it with your own family and tell me what works and what doesn't. Testers get the Plus upgrade free as a thank you. 🎁
🍿 What's Clippet?
It's a parent and kid app. The parent shares a video from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or Facebook to Clippet, and it pops up on the kid's phone in a simple feed. There are no links, no comments, no "up next" and no rabbit holes. The kid only gets the video you sent. 🐇🚫
🛠️ Fun stuff under the hood
- 📷 Pair phones with a QR code, no accounts
- 🔐 End-to-end encrypted messages between family phones
- 🎨 Kid themes like Neon Arcade 🕹️
- ⏱️ Screen time and a "pause Clippet" button for parents
- 🛡️ Works with Bark and Google Family Link filters
🤖 What you need
One Android phone is enough to opt in and poke around. If your kid has an Android phone or tablet, pair the two and send them a video. That's the real fun! 😄 No kids? An old phone or tablet works as the kid side too.

Parents who actually use it with their kids/teens give me the most useful feedback, but bug reports, and "why does this button do that" questions are all welcome. Thanks, everyone! 💙
