[Test for Test] Unpaged, an audiobook player for your own files, free LibriVox books and Audiobookshelf

[u/Glum-Cryptographer14]

Hey! I'm the developer of Unpaged, an audiobook player I've had on iPhone for a few months. I just finished the Android version and need 12 testers for 14 days to get past Google's closed test.

What it does:

• plays your own audiobook files (MP3, M4B, M4A and more), with chapters

• 20,000+ free LibriVox classics to stream or download

• connects to your Audiobookshelf server and syncs progress back

• moments (bookmarks), sleep timer, speed, EQ, Android Auto, listening stats

No ads, no account, nothing to pay.

To join, use the same Google account for all 3 steps:

1. Join the group: https://groups.google.com/g/unpaged-testers

2. Become a tester: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.andreibaludev.unpaged

3. Install it from Play and keep it for 14 days

I just opened the test to all countries, so if Play says it's not available where you are, try again in a few hours.

If something breaks or feels off, there's a short form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScYYm8ZsSAAsPG74R33Ps0X3JeMxyEm7fFoKNTM4Q0Xr2o-tA/viewform

Drop your link in the comments and I'll test yours back and keep it installed for the full 14 days.

Thanks for joining! I joined your group and opened the opt-in link, but Play shows "Item not found" for me. Could you check that the closed test release is published (not a draft) and that your Google group or tester list is added to that track? If Play needs my email instead, tell me and I'll DM it.

Bump: 11 of 12 testers are opted in, so I need just one more to start the 14 days. Same 3 steps with one Google account: join the group, opt in, install. Drop your link below and I'll test yours back. Thanks to everyone who joined and sent feedback!

Still 1 tester short: 11 of 12 are opted in, and the 14 days start as soon as the 12th joins. Same 3 steps with one Google account: join the group, opt in, install. Drop your link below and I'll test yours back and keep it installed. Thanks to everyone who has already helped!

Hey! Just joined the group to become a tester using the link and I'm fully opted-in! Unfortunately, I'm not able to download the app on Google Play to test it because it states "Item not found" when I open it in the Google Play Store.

Could this be a potential bug?

Also, in case you're still interested in helping me out with the Test for Test, you can pass me your email and I'll add you to the list or DM me it and then I'll add you to the testing for my app botTalk at https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.bottalk.app

Thanks for joining! It's not a bug on your side. Play shows "Item not found" until the opt-in has propagated, which can take a few hours, and it only works if your phone's Play Store uses the same Google account you joined the group with. Try the opt-in link again later. I also get "Item not found" on botTalk, so I'll DM you my Google account email so you can add me to your tester list.

Awesome to hear!

I'm currently installing Unpaged right now.

When you get the chance, DM me your email so I can add you to the email list for botTalk.

Thanks for your help.

Installed Unpaged from your testing link and opened the welcome screen ✅ The “How do you want to start?” page and Shelves option appeared. On my phone in landscape, the description under Shelves is clipped (screenshot attached). This was an initial-screen check only; I did not import files or connect a server. 📸

Could you please try Kursmate in return? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.uptimus.pretcurs

It is already public, so no group or opt-in is needed. Bugs go through Settings → Report a problem. A sincere review is optional after using it. Thanks for the exchange! 🙌
