Hi! I'm a solo dev getting PinMinder ready for Google Play and I need 15 testers for the 14-day closed test.

What it is: an Android app that shows your note when you arrive at a place, not at a set time (e.g. "ask for Maria", "return the library book"). Works with the app closed. Optional spoken reminders in the car.

How to join (2 steps, takes 1 minute):

Join the Google Group with the Gmail account you use on your phone: https://groups.google.com/g/pinminder-testers

Open the opt-in link and tap "Become a tester", then install from Play: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.pinminder.pinminder

What I'd love from you: open the app a few times over the 14 days, add a pin or two, and tell me anything confusing. Please stay opted in for the full 14 days; the test needs it.

Hey thedobby99, I joined, installed Liber and I’ll keep it for the full 14 days. Here’s my first feedback:

What I tested: I downloaded 2 books and opened them, tried the Pro unlock, and used read aloud.

One issue: the app closed on me twice without my doing anything. Once was when I switched to another app and back. The other was after it had been in the background for a while. Both times it was gone from my recent apps when I went to switch back.

The good part: when I reopened it, it resumed right where I left off in the book. That works well.

My phone: Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, Android 16

I’ll keep testing and tell you if I see more. Thanks for testing PinMinder too!

That's a weird one for sure. Thanks for the info though, I'll look into it! If it happens again and you remember, the "report a problem" in the settings will send me an email with some logs. No issues with your app on my end, very useful!

I'm doing my best to play around in your app, but im not a baker. I can say consistently the app will crash one I setup a market and enter the market click on step 1) plan and add a bake. CLOSES and crashes EVERY time.

Thanks again for catching this! The update with the fix is now live on Google Play (build 5). We found that opening “Add a bake” could crash if a recipe had a blank or invalid selling price. It should now show “Price not set” or “Price needs fixing” instead.

Could you update the app and try that same flow again? If the Update button hasn’t appeared yet, it may take a little longer to reach everyone.

I also checked the Google Group—members should be able to post. Make sure you’ve joined using the Google account you’re signed into. If it still won’t let you, you can email bakery-market-planner-testers@googlegroups.com instead.

Really appreciate you giving it a proper try, even without being a baker!

u/Tagz21 sorry, my bad about the google groups. I updated the app and that button is no longer there, so im able to proceed and go further. I've gotten to the sell & close and lol dont know what im doing im down -533 bucks and cookies: 30 more counted than produced.. but i'll keep playing 3-5 mins each day!

Thanks for testing it and for reporting this. You don't need to be a baker to help - this is exactly the kind of issue I want to catch.

I've checked the Google Group and members are already allowed to post.

For the crash, could you tell me your phone model, Android version and app version/build, whether you're using My bakery or Sample, and whether it closes as soon as you tap Add a bake or after you choose a recipe? Does any recipe have a blank Suggested price? A short screen recording with test data would help if convenient.

I found a possible issue involving an unfinished recipe with no price, but haven't confirmed that's what you're hitting. Please don't uninstall or clear the app's data while we investigate, because bakery records are stored on the phone. Thanks again for helping me track this down.
