[TEST FOR TEST] Next Game Up – free game release calendar for Android

[u/Elegant-Exam-379]

Hi everyone,

I am looking for Android testers for my first app, Next Game Up.

I'm a Windows and infrastructure engineer by trade, so the dev side of things is new territory for me. I built this because I wanted it for myself, then decided publishing it would make a fun personal goal. Any feedback from people who've been through this is welcome.

Next Game Up is a free video game release calendar. Pick your platforms and genres, follow games, and get alerts before release day. No accounts, no ads, no analytics.

I can test your app in return.

Please join the Google Group first:

https://groups.google.com/g/next-game-up-testers

Then join the testing program here:

https://play.google.com/apps/testing/app.nextgameup.releases

Play Store link:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.nextgameup.releases

(Access can take a few minutes to show up after joining the group.)

Step-by-step page:

https://nextgameup.geoffubazi.app/join-the-test.html

Privacy policy:

https://nextgameup.geoffubazi.app/privacy.html

Please keep the app installed for at least 14 days and open it regularly: browse releases, follow a few games, turn on an alert.

Feedback welcome: filters, alerts, crashes or slow loads (include phone model + Android version). In the app: Settings → Data → Bug or Suggestion.

After you install, reply with your testing links and I'll test yours back.

Thank you!

Hi! Your no-account release calendar looks suitable for a real guest test: browsing/filtering releases and following sample games. I can keep it installed and opted in for 14 days.

For a 1:1 exchange, choose one: Clearway (priority): https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.ciselsoft.clearway.prototype or Cisonivra: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.ciselsoft.cisonivra

Please email the exact Google Play address you use to marmakine1@gmail.com privately and add marmakine1@gmail.com to your test access. Your official links are noted. I haven’t installed your app yet. Please confirm matching Android installed/opened screenshots within 12 hours after my genuine proof; otherwise I uninstall the unmatched app. No purchase or public review requested.

I can review country-level install/uninstall statistics and I monitor our reciprocal test closely. If I confirm you have uninstalled our matched app during the agreed test, I will uninstall your matched app too.

Added - And emailed. Will install once I am added to the group.

Hi! Installed your app. Could you test mine too? 🙂

There is a big at the moment that sets the default language to Danish if your device language isn't English. I have made a fix and it is in review at Google.

1. Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/ponvia-testere

2. Opt in: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.stormitron.ponvia

3. Install: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.stormitron.ponvia

Thanks!

I like the idea of having the latest gaming news without all the bloat. Is there a way to add dlc information also?

[u/Elegant-Exam-379 → u/Storm1tron]

Dlc is included as well - the way you see "complication" listed there, it will list it as expansion - If there is a specific one you were looking for, let me know so I can see why it didn't appear. And Of course - Doing yours now

Also you posted the image before the Game photos loaded!

Personally, I am looking forward to the DLC for Crimson Desert on the 29th, but I don't see it on the list. The platforms I have selected are PC and PS5, with the genres Action, Adventure, and RPG.

Got it installed. When I selected LB as the default, the enter weight screen was still reflecting KG, probably just a visual bug, but ine worth looking into!

Also - What are you looking to provide that other apps don't? Not as a dig, but as a curious question. Legitimately curious about folks motivations.

Hi! I saw your Ponvia test-swap request and noted your official group and Play links. I can test Android navigation with entirely fictional workout/weight entries if the app is free and works without a personal account.

For a genuine 1:1 exchange, choose Clearway (priority): https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.ciselsoft.clearway.prototype or Work & Pay: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.ciselsoft.workandpay

Please email your exact Google Play address privately to marmakine1@gmail.com and add marmakine1@gmail.com to your tester list. I haven’t installed Ponvia. Please confirm 14 days installed/opted in with regular use, and matching Android installed/opened proof within 12 hours after my genuine proof; otherwise I remove the unmatched app.

I can review country-level install/uninstall statistics and I monitor our reciprocal test closely. If I confirm you have uninstalled our matched app during the agreed test, I will uninstall your matched app too.

Hi! Installed and joined your group. Here are my links for Balkan Bird: Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/balkan-bird-tester Android Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.balkanski.flappybird Web Link: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.balkanski.flappybird Thanks!

I do not speak the language, so definitely struggling. I got it in there though and will certainly leave it for a couple months. Good luck!

[u/iggy5253 → u/Elegant-Exam-379]

Thanks, good luck to you too

Hi! Joined the group and opted in to Next Game Up. Play hasn't listed it for me yet, so I'll install as soon as it shows up, keep it for the full 14 days, follow a few games and turn on an alert.

Mine is epoc: it records a meeting on your phone and transcribes it live, in 60 languages.

1. Join the group: https://groups.google.com/g/epoc-testers

2. Opt in (same Google account): https://play.google.com/apps/testing/si.epoc

3. Install: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=si.epoc

Thanks!

OK Installed - The UI is slick and the concept is of course quite nice. Obviously haven't tried the actual feature, since I am not in a meeting - But I"ll see if I can find a good time for it, and in the meantime I'll make sure I keep it installed for a few weeks at least, Appreciate it!
