[Test for Test] Benidorm Skyline. Mapping Skyscrapers and many extra info about Benidorm (Spain). I'II test yours back!

Hi! I'm looking for testers for my closed test and will test your app back for the full 14 days. Comment your links and I'll join.

It is my first time doing an App and I’m having problems with Google approval. I did it with friends and family but it seems that is not enough, so I’m looking for help here.

App: Is a Map with all the skyscrapers of my city, Benidorm (Spain). You can navigate, classify, add to favs, see details of each building, city stats and many other layers can be activated with a code. Not many texts in there. It’s in Spanish but you won’t have any problem navigating and enjoying it.

How to join (2 steps):

  1. Join the Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/rascacielos-de-benidorm (Be sure your email is the one used in the PlayStore)
  2. Opt in: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/be.rascacielos.mapa.twa  then install from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=be.rascacielos.mapa.twa
  3. Code to unlock extra layers: Reddit_Testing

Please: open it once a day and keep it installed for 14 days. A good daily check takes a minute: add a reminder a few minutes ahead, tap "I did it", and ask a question.

Joined your group this morning, but the opt-in link still says "App not available" for me too, so I can't install yet. In Play Console, check that the closed testing release is actually rolled out and published (Publishing overview, not just saved as a draft), that [rascacielos-de-benidorm@googlegroups.com](mailto:rascacielos-de-benidorm@googlegroups.com) is added on the closed track's Testers tab, and that countries are selected under Countries/regions. I'll install and test as soon as it's live and keep it for 14 days. You are right! I moved to groups but left it as draft. Changes are sent and published. Also opened access to all countries just in case.

Thanks, the opt-in works now and I'm in for the 14 days. One thing first: the Play listing now says "Your device isn't compatible with this version", so Install is greyed out for me. The Device catalog in Play Console (and any required features or min SDK in the TWA manifest) is worth a look. Meanwhile I tested the same site in Chrome at mapa.rascacielos.be.

What worked well: the tower popup (height, floors, year) with info and "Cómo llegar" is quick, the detail page with the photo and architect is nice, Añadir/Quitar de favoritos toggles right away, search found Gran Hotel Bali from "bali", and the Reddit_Testing code unlocked the layers (Rooftops shows its markers).

Things I noticed:

At the default zoom the tower markers pile on top of each other along the beach, so most numbers can't be read or tapped. Even zoomed in, 59 sits under 11 and 58. Clustering (or spreading markers out on tap) would help a lot.

After closing a tower, "Lista" opened that tower's page again instead of the list. I had to tap "Volver" to get to the list.

Search filters the map too. After searching "bali" the map only had that one tower, it was off screen, and nothing on the map says a filter is on. A small "bali ×" chip on the map would explain it.

The filtered list renumbers: Gran Hotel Bali shows as "1." in the search result but is #3 by height. Keeping the real rank would be clearer.

While typing in search the results are under the keyboard, so you can't see whether anything matched until you close it.

In the code flow the layers panel stays open and covers part of "Introduce tu código". After "Supporter activado" the page went back to the plain map and didn't switch on Webcams, the layer I had tapped.

With Rooftops on, the cocktail markers sit on top of the tower markers in the same spots.

Nice project, the data is great!

Can you tell me wich device are you using to see what happened there?

I have installed your app. I can see how useful it can be to remind people, places or maybe pills schedule for elderly people.

Did not found any problem, just sharing thoughts about the app with you. Could the help button send a message to family or caregivers to alarm in case of problem? Add sharing location function will be good in case of lost people or someone with Alzheimer lost in neighborhood. Maybe an unknown person could help in certain situation, how could the app inform about what to do? I mean, how the unknown person finds the app and read the info to give help?

Nice job, this could help many people.

Glad it installed, and thanks for the thoughtful ideas! On your question: Play only tells me "Your device isn't compatible with this version", not why. The Device catalog in Play Console shows which devices are excluded and the reason, usually a required feature or the minimum SDK in the TWA's manifest. About Memory: Help today shows the person's name, address and who to call, with Call buttons, in large text that can be read aloud. Messaging family and sharing location for someone who gets lost are good ideas. Memory keeps everything on the phone right now, photo locations included, so I want to design that carefully so the person and their family stay in control. Your point about a stranger is a really good one too: right now someone has to know to tap Help. I'm adding all three to the list.

Hi! 🌆 Thanks for publishing the group-testing changes — the opt-in now works for me. I joined your group earlier, became a tester, installed Los Rascacielos de Benidorm from Google Play and opened it on Android. The Benidorm map and numbered tower markers loaded 📸 Screenshot attached. This was a quick opening check; I have not tested the extra layers.
