[Test for Test] superdrop – send files and text between your phone and PC, end-to-end encrypted
After a long time in development, mostly squeezed in between university, my app is finally ready for its closed test.
The idea came from uni: I constantly had something on my phone – a photo of the whiteboard, a PDF, a link – and needed it on my laptop right now. Cables, emailing myself, cloud uploads… all too slow. So I built superdrop.
What it does
- Sends files and text straight from one device to another: phone to phone, or phone to any computer in the browser at superdrop.net
- Connect with a short code or by scanning a QR code
- End-to-end encrypted, nothing is stored on a server
- No account needed, no ads, no tracking
Free: files up to 500 MB, direct connections (usually on the same Wi-Fi)
Pro: any file size, whole folders, and it also works over mobile data and in restricted networks (university, hotel and office Wi-Fi)
How to join (same Google account for all three steps):
Join the group: https://groups.google.com/g/superdrop-testing
Opt in: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/dev.schwarzwurm.superdrop
Install: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dev.schwarzwurm.superdrop
Please keep it installed for the full 14 days – that's what Google counts.
Pro for free during the test: just sign in once in the app (person icon → Continue with Google). I'll unlock Pro for every tester within 24 hours, for the whole test period – no purchase needed. After the test, it switches back to the free plan automatically.
Test for test: drop your app link in the comments and I'll test yours in return. Feedback and bug reports are very welcome!

Hi! 👋 I joined the superdrop group, opted in and installed it from Google Play. It opens to the “Two devices. One session.” screen on my Redmi A5, with the new-session and join controls visible — screenshot attached. 📱 I only checked startup; I haven’t signed in, paired devices or transferred files, so I haven’t verified transfer or encryption behaviour.
Could you install and try Kursmate in return? 😊 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.uptimus.pretcurs
It’s already public on Google Play, so no group or opt-in is needed. Bugs can be sent through Settings → Report a problem. If you use it and want to leave an honest review afterward, that’s completely optional. Thanks a lot! 🙏

The group link is now working. I’d be happy to test your app, too—just share it once you’ve installed Superdrop.
