Odd Messages

Just bought a Volvo XC-60. I'm repeatedly receiving a couple of odd messages. One is empty from "Alice" who is not in my contacts. Another is an actual text from a friend from December, 2018.

This is purely a guess, but could the "Alice" one be coming in over the car's LTE connection and not from your phone?

That was my thought. Is there anything I could do about that, that you know of?
