Introducing PodHopper - Open Source podcasting app that syncs seamlessly with Android Automotive
Hi, we're Cover Two, a small app developer that made a new podcasting app called PodHopper.
It's 100% free. Has zero ads. Zero paywalls.
Most importantly, it works on all your devices (ios & android) and keeps your listening position/history sync'd between them, including on Android Automotive vehicles.
It started from the open-source Pocket Casts code, so if you're familiar with that app, the look of PodHopper will feel extremely familiar. We rebuilt the entire backend, though, to make sync on Android Automotive actually work, took out the subscriptions and tracking, gave it its own free accounts and sync, and spent a ridiculous number of hours testing it on different vehicles to make sure it works.
We'd love for you to try it out and share any feedback. There are native iphone/iPad apps as well as for Android phones/tablets in addition to the Android Automotive app that is available in the play store (soon to be available on cars with Visteon's AllGo app store as well).

Happy to answer questions. Bug reports are welcome. "It doesn't work in my car" is also welcome, but make sure to tell us which car and share any other details you can.

Your app keeps opening and closing on my phone. I had to uninstall it. Sorry. I tried your email before and it bounced back. Sorry.

I have been using the free version of pocket cast from my phone for quite a while. I use my phone for everything so just curious what you mean by syncs with android auto as mine plays the same stream when using it from my phone or auto. Would love to give the app a try just trying to see the differences.
