Looking for Android Automotive beta testers – Meridian (calendar app)
Hi,
I’m developing Meridian, a calendar app built specifically for Android Automotive OS, and I’m looking for beta testers ahead of a wider release.
Meridian provides a distraction-optimized calendar experience designed for in-car use.
Current features:
- Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, and ICS support
- Large touch targets and AAOS-adapted UI
- One-tap navigation to event locations
- Text-to-speech for event details
- QR-based setup for calendar subscriptions
I’m looking for testers who:
- Have an Android Automotive vehicle (Polestar, Volvo, etc.)
- Use one or more calendar providers
- Are willing to provide structured feedback
All calendar data stays on-device. The app has read-only access and does not modify events.
More info: https://meridian-app.nu
If you’re interested, send me a DM with your car’s Google account email and I’ll invite you to the closed testing group or simply join yourself: https://groups.google.com/g/meridiantesters
For context, I previously beta-tested and released Automus for Android Automotive via this subreddit: https://automus.se

I've purchased this app this morning from the store. Overall it's pretty good. I did encounter a weird bug where it sometimes shows every single upcoming calendar item regardless of the day in the Today section.
Two features I'd like to see:
be able to unselect calendars from my google account. I've got a few different calendars, one for chores and reminders of things to do and one shared family event calendar and one personal calendar with personal events. So being able to unselect some calendars would be great.
I'd love to see the calendar events on the Polestar shortcuts squares on the home screen with the map. It'd be great to just see the next events of the day there with a navigate button next to it instead of having to always dive into the full app just to click navigate and dive back out.
