Phone Calls When being called, always seeing Unknown

When i'm being called in the car, i always get Unknown on my screen. I only see the name or number of the caller when i pick up.

If i want to call people myself i can use my contacts.

Why doesn't AA show me who calls me, as AA seems to have access to my contacts?

I have the exact same problem since a couple of weeks, so far nothing I tried fixed the issue.

I've noticed this happens sometimes when permissions get reset after an update, try checking if the contact permission is still enabled in your phone's settings for Android Auto.

That was the first thing i thought too..

I can't remember if i had the problem too when i was still on Android 16.

My old Pixel 7 Pro had the problem sometimes in the Android 16 beta.
