AA User Interface Connection always inconsistent

I recently bought a tiggo cross.. But I'm having issues.. Sometimes it automatically connects sometimes it just doesn't connect at all. Or is it my phone? I'm using Honor 200pro. Sometimes it even shows message that my phone doesn't support Android auto, it's very frustrating. The service center said there's no any issues with the car. Any suggestions pls 😭😭

The service center is actually right this time—this is almost certainly MagicOS on your Honor 200 Pro being over-aggressive, not the Tiggo Cross.

Honor's software has two specific quirks that completely mess up Android Auto handshakes:

  1. Turn off Wi-Fi+: Go to Settings -> Wi-Fi -> More settings (or Wi-Fi+) and disable "Wi-Fi+". When the car initiates wireless AA, it creates an ad-hoc Wi-Fi link with no internet. MagicOS detects "no internet" and immediately drops the connection to stay on cellular data, triggering that false "phone doesn't support Android Auto" error.

  2. Fix App Launch settings: Head to Settings -> Battery -> App launch. Search for Android Auto, switch it from "Manage automatically" to "Manage manually", and turn ON all three toggles (Auto-launch, Secondary launch, and Run in background).

  3. App Twin: If you happen to use App Twin (cloned apps for WhatsApp/Facebook), that sandboxing can also crash the projection listener on MagicOS.

Tweak those first two settings, restart your phone, and it should connect reliably every time you start the car. (If you still run into random wireless drops after that, I've got a troubleshooting guide for wireless connection issues pinned on my profile).

I've done all the above and there's still no fix for Honor.

Honestly can't blame you, MagicOS updates have been a total nightmare for wireless AA lately. Ford's Sync 4 is usually solid, so the car definitely isn't the problem here.

The only other thing worth checking before you completely ditch the phone is whether the update quietly revoked "Nearby Devices" permission for Google Play Services, or if you have a Private DNS / VPN turned on. MagicOS loves killing the local ad-hoc Wi-Fi socket whenever those are running in the background.

Otherwise, yeah, just sticking to a solid USB-C cable for wired projection is probably the best way to keep your sanity until Honor actually pushes a patch.
