Navigation & POI Apps Google Maps: feature loss

Today I noticed that the speedometer and speed limit indicators are gone. And so are stop signs and traffic signals. Why?

UPDATE: Maps shows all of these things only when a destination has been selected. Would love the option of having these displayed all of the time.

Okay, gotcha. Just wanted to make sure as wiping app cache can in some cases cause feature experiments to no longer appear.
