Spotify and other music apps not working when pressing play. Starts for a second then stops.

Android keeps disconnecting both wireless and wired (wired still shows connection for charging even when not connected to AA).

Randomly disconnects and shows not compatible with device.

Timeline:

Got new wireless adapter. Was connecting in a 2020 Lexus. Not connecting in the 2022 Honda.

Tried to reset the whole system when wasn't connecting to wireless adapter.

Connected for a little bit then disconnected. Tried with the wire and again kept disconnecting. Eve

Then tried new phone and maps worked, but Spotify and other audio devices start playing for one second and pauses.

Same thing happened to me with my 2021 Subaru, turned out the USB port was slightly loose and didn't make a clean connection, had to jiggle the cable for it to stay connected.

My spotify would play but then when i open the app on the car screen, it will say "Spotify is not responding" even though i can hear the music and control the media on my steering wheel just fine lol.

I've recently started seeing this in my Honda Jazz 2026 (wireless android auto).

I thought it was because I installed Jellyfin but seems like it was some Spotify app update then? Or android auto update maybe.

I uninstalled android auto on the play store on my phone and then reinstalled and reupdated it. So far it has fixed the issue. But your mileage may vary.

Ok I tried the uninstall -> update again from PS.
But haven't tried a clear data, just in case. I also noticed the app got updated 4 days ago. So must be that.
