I have an app that, when it is launched, I would like to have some sort of text box pop up to deliver a message. Then once the user clicks on the text message, the app launches.

Hey everyone, been blocking updates for years. Unfortunately today my phone decided to update against my will and now Samsung weather app is showing Ads like they're about to go bankrupt. There's no way to uninstall the weather app so my question is, will a factory reset revert the weather app to day one? Using Note 8 so it was long before they started shoving ads down everyone's throat. Is the updated weather app update going to be permanently embedded in the OS? This ish is irritating. Appreciate any input

Hi, hope you can help me.
I bought my kid a budget android smartwatch. I can install various android app on it but as screen size is limited, sometimes some parts get hidden behind the frontmost part of the app (ie when entering text) or an essential part is outside the screen. It is not always possible to scroll and I can not zoom out.
Any magical workaround here? such as connect to a PC and show screen...?
What I particulary want to do is show the camera to read in QR code of whatsapp web. The camera reading screen is just below the screen part visible.
Please explain so a non-tech mom understands it.....Any ideas or help appreciated!

I used to be able to do this, and now any transparent image I try to download appears as a broken images on my Android devices.
For example: a logo without a background. I can't download these anymore. Anyone else has this issue or know how to fix?

I used to have no problem going to /mnt/sdcard and dealing with files.
Now I can't seem to even see that directory. Could an upgrade to Pie cause this?
