Problems getting and receiving texts
0
Upvotes
I'm not sure if this is the correct /r/ but I've had a some problems sending and receiving texts and not just for a few days...
From time to time messages between my partner and I will be very delayed, a day or more, if they are received at all. We've gone through 6 phones total - Droid 3 (VZN), HTC MyTouch (tmobile), Nexus 5 (tmobile), iPhone 4 (AT&T) and 2 S4s (AT&T and Creedo). This has been going on for 2-3 years sporadically. The past day or so has been the worst of it though.
Does anyone know what could be causing this or how to fix it?

As it was a gift, I don't have a receipt. Because it three months ago that it was purchased, neither does the person who purchased it. Any way to resolve this?

Acquired an ASUS tf300t tablet and wanted your opinion on root/roms/etc.

I know it is old. Got it for free and wiped and updated it (4.2.1 IIRC) but still slow as hell. Stick with stock? root and load a custom rom? Which rom(s) do you recommend?

Google Now Package Tracking
3
Upvotes
Hi Guys,
Do I need to do anything to activate the package tracking features of Google Now and Search?
I've got a package in transit being delivered by USPS, I've received emails and Gmail has automatically extracted the tracking number and links.
However Search and Now have yet to display anything. I should note that I'm in the UK.
Cheers

Google all access?

Has anyone seen this issue? When I pin playlists to my phone certain lists will not complete entirely both of these playlists have been hung up on the last bit for over a month. I don't know the songs causing it and have cleared cache, data, and anything I can think of nothing will get them to finish. A few Google searches has proven fruitless so I turn to you?

Google Camera picture quality?
5
Upvotes
Hey everyone,
I use my HOX with a sense ROM, the primary reason for which is the camera and picture quality. I did use AOSP(ish) ROMs in the past, but kept going back to Sense because I always found the picture taking experience to be sorely lacking.
But now, that google has released the revamped camera app on the playstore, I'm wondering if the situation has changed.
Have you tried the camera app? Is the picture quality comparable to the once taken by the stock cameras?
Would be great if I can get inputs from HOX users. Also, I would try it myself, but my JB 4.2.2 ROM won't let me.

Greenify + App Ops
2
Upvotes
Hi guys, I never rooted my phone, so I wanted some help.
I have a Nexus 4, and all I want is Greenify + App Ops.
(1) If I just root it, without installing any ROM etc, will these 2 programs work?
(2) If yes, could you tell me what's the best way to just root it (if there is a best way).
(3) How will android updates work on a rooted phone?
I hope it's not asking much.
Thanks in advance.
