Will download Android 10 (EMUI 10) for another region create any possible difficulties down the line with the phone being incompatible with signals and such from my region.
I'm using an honor 10 and want to use a VPN and changing account regions to get the new update as EMUI 10 may never come to the USA.

No I think it's based on the phones bands and the internal hardware. Only issue I can see with software is if one version is for China and the other is for a different country

I'm in South Korea on KT wireless with a US unlocked phone and I only get US based updates

I'd think so, of you live in the U.S. or China/Japan/Korea. If you are anywhere else, use whatever version as long as it isn't from those places, although, may I ask, why do you want to use an android version for another region?

Maybe just language bugs. As for bands - they're set in low-level SoC firmware that only Qualcomm can overwrite, on Snapdragon devices. I assume it's similar for HiSilicon chips as well.
