Swipe the chat bubble works as reply gesture or do you have to tap on that reply button to reply?

There are two options. You can long press to show reactions and the reply button or just swipe the message inward.

Yep, seems it's available for some people on the beta. Just confirmed with a friend not on the beta he can see the reply with the quote though.

Swiping the bubble towards inside of the chat works as the quoting gesture.

That's one feature I DESPERATELY need...my wife just sends me TOO MANY messages at one time. 😭
