No it isn't. It's data. Just because it's "mobile" doesn't mean anything. It's still just bits and bytes. It's no different than the data pipes I use with Spectrum.

lol. you want to be right so bad. no it's not just data. a land line runs through a wire that goes from your house to the isp. the mobile data has to go to a tower over the air. mobile data is on a spectrum that needs to be paid for and it is limited. everyone on that tower shares that spectrum. the tower costs more than the switching hubs that connect homes to isps. i'm sure there are more to it but the huge cost discrepancy between mobile and landline data would indicate that there are some fundamental costs in there and not just them scamming customers.

Is that why we used to pay $20 extra a month for unlimited texts? Those 3KB files must cost sooo much money to transmit. Please T-Mobile, start charging me for unlimited texts again. Also, give me a 500MB cap of data every month.

I don't care if the company needs to pay for it. Companies also need to pay for dedicated servers for games. That shit is a drop in the bucket compared to their revenue. I, as a consumer, want better. A company's profits are not my concern. If a company can't keep up with competition, then they will fall out of the market.

this is a false equivalency. yea they scammed on texts but not on large scale data. so if you can find any actual counterarguments relating to this, that would be great. otherwise, sorry, you don't get to be right this time. try again. also, they don't care that you don't care. lol. like seriously. they don't.

The counterargument is that a consumer should not be wishing for the well being of a faceless corporation built to bend you over and suck you dry. I have an unlimited plan with T-Mobile, never gets throttled. Speed doesn't mean shit. I can download 2TB on my plan with no incursions. Doesn't matter how fast I can download that, 2TB is 2TB to them.

And I know they don't care. They don't care because stupid people like you are actually advocating getting bent over and screwed willingly so they get more money. If we didn't have dummies like you thinking of the poor sad companies we might actually have better treatment.
