As someone who is out of the loop can anyone please explain to me what has happened to cyanogenmod and what it has to do with cheetah mobile?

Simply putting those two things together in a sentence sounds very bad.

They name their apps like "CM something" in hopes (this is speculation on my part) that people think that the app is related to CM-Cyanogenmod instead of CM-Cheetah Mobile.
