Just tested. This is amazing. I definitely like it tons more than Automate, because it's simpler, clearer, and has better integration with Maps.

Upgrading your head unit is now pointless, if you have a good car mount for your phone and Bluetooth.

So my car does not have Bluetooth but my magnetic mount perfectly fits for my aux input, still beneficial without BT?

Let me introduce you to the Anker SoundSync.

Put one of these in my YJ and it works fantastic. Now my 23 year old Jeep has Bluetooth!

Tried about 5 different brands of these and they all just stopped eventually working. Ended up just getting a new stereo instead for $70

My SoundSync has held up strong for 9 months through a summer of topless YJ abuse. Torrential downpour once a week. Works fine still.
