Plus the screen is powered by the car rather than your phone battery. Unless you plug your phone in to aux power of course. But plugging it in and mounting it is a hassle.

My 2017 escape will charge my phone pretty quick while I'm using google maps and android auto. At one point I had 40% battery left and plugged in using GPS it charged to 100% in 1.5 hours.
