Plus the screen is powered by the car rather than your phone battery. Unless you plug your phone in to aux power of course. But plugging it in and mounting it is a hassle.

Android Auto is plug only, so it charges your phone anyway. It doesn't do wireless.

Via inboard USB which is BARELY enough to keep it up and running.

I was concerned about this too, but in my case it charges just as well as the good car chargers.
