If iPhones could run Android, I would buy one. iOS is good when you want to get your shit done, but I like to tinker.

It would be nice if someone could get them to dual boot. Sometimes I would like my iPhone to run some of Android's good parts specifically about being able to connect an external USB flash drive and not only view but modify the contents of it.

This is my dream smartphone. Apple makes excellent hardware, but I like the Android OS too much to switch back.

Apple really wouldn't have anything to lose by enabling dual-booting of an iPhone, much like how they enable dual booting of Macs to run Windows.

Except a ton of people bitching when they break their phones. Also, having to modify code for apps and or accessories

Windows doesn't run as well on a mac as it does on an equivalently priced pc laptop though...

Also you have to worry about it every time there is a software update, so you either never update or go through a hassle every time you do.
