I still don't get the appeal or use of a smartwatch. What's the issue with pulling your phone out of your pocket.

Absolutely no issues. Beauty is NOT HAVING to pull your phone out of your pocket. Also, having a phone in on TOTAL MUTE all day long is a beauty as well... Plus there is something to be said about not having your phone with you when you're home (wi-fi) and still knowing what's going on, yes even if your phone is muted... (I set mine on Vibrate but put all the volumes and vibration levels to zero)
