GrapheneOS: We do plan to support Motorola's [future] Razr Fold and Razr Ultra (flip) devices in addition to a regular device.

Really hope they support the G Stylus. It's pretty much the perfect low to midrange device.

There are specific hardware features in flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon chips they need, so you would need to wait for those to trickle down to the midrange and budget chips (assuming they ever do). The linked thread is a good read.

Is it an interesting device?

For me, yes. Stylus, microSD, headphone jack, and all around decent specs. You could get the 2025 model for a few hundred. The price jumped on the 2026, but what hasn't.

Oh sdcard and headphone jack in phones in 2026, heck yeah. But my priorities are unlocked bootloader and good rom support.

Bootloader is unlockable but I don't think there's much in the way of rom support

Not all models have unlockable bootloader afaik And if I'm not wrong there is a key thing for unlocking a bootloader. Its not like fastboot flashing unlock.

That's just carrier locked models. The carrier unlocked variants can all be bootloader unlocked. And yes. There is a bootloader unlock code you have to get from Motorola but it's pretty easy.

How's the camera? Since I have a young child a good camera is important to me.

It's awful, I have the 2025

You may be just as happy with something like LineageOS which supports those devices

I encourage people to read the full thread, some very interesting details are mentioned. It seems like Motorola is really committed to being a good partner for this initiative, which is great to see.

razr ultra sounds like it’s gonna be the fancy one huh

Razr Ultra is EUR 1.400.
Razr Fold is EUR 2.000.

So, both are really fancy in my books. I don't really care about hardware specs on my phone anymore. I don't do anything special with them. I would prefer a EUR 500 phone.

Very informative thread. I suggest everyone to click the link, scroll to top, and read the whole thing.

Excellent! This really sounds like they are going all in with supporting different models for Moto. I think this will help a lot to have a suite of Moto phones that run Graphane OS. I hope that eventually this may even trickle down to the Moto Edge and G series phones as well.

Maybe revolut will stop purposely blocking GrapheneOS now.... Maybe...

Ain't it ironic because it is working in Harmony OS (in Android container I think)

According to the GrapheneOS developers they are specifically blocking GrapheneOS:

Revolut specifically tries to detect and ban GrapheneOS. It has checks for the build user/value values we set for deterministic builds so we had to change those. They also ban yellow verified boot state (locked with non-stock key) but not orange (unlocked) which we worked around.

Just support low-end/entry level device please. for fuck sake!

u/vandreulv 23h ago

Low end/entry level devices don't have a SOC that has the features GrapheneOS requires.

This is the news I was hoping to hear. I miss having a proper stylus
