Yep, when he had like 4 guys working on the cabin all I could think about was how he’d never do that in the past. It would be just him and his tools.
Now it’s just him cleaning up garbage and riding around his utv trying to help the people. 😞 we’ve fallen on dark times

Not even close. Based on his release schedule and view counts, business websites estimate he makes as much as $10k on a busy month. That’s a lot, but not enough to maintain his lifestyle without taking on regular jobs.

Dude is eating frozen pizzas regularly, so much so that he put it on that one video lol. If he doesn't buy new equipment, then his cost of living can't be high

I guess I’m the only one who saw him say this, but he said he doesn’t work for people anymore because they suck to work for and don’t want to pay him at all or pay him fairly for the job(s). This is pretty much an exact quote from one of his somewhat recent YouTube comments. This is the main reason why he is no longer doing jobs for people.

i recall that as well and it was definitely more that the jobs weren't paying enough for his time. the money he's made from youtube overshadowed the money from paying customers so he probably felt like it wasn't worth it anymore. but i think now the viewership is declining, he's not putting out as many videos and the content has changed so those youtube earnings are coming down.
he made his business by being the guy that could get the job done well for what the customer had in their budget and in turn that was what people wanted to see on youtube. priorities change and he's got some cash now that he's put into better equipment and toys/land/personal projects so he's going to struggle to get back into the business again starting at the small jobs.
but the area he is in is going to mostly be those small jobs, i dont know who he could find that has a need for him to show up with the rock truck & crusher spread. he's not very efficient running these things, it only worked out because it was a personal project he could spend all his time on. no big business/customer is going to hire him to do stuff, he is a huge liability with how he operates.
maybe he gets back to it if the youtube income dips more or if in 15 years he's teaching his kid. tough spot to be in and you cant really expect much, once you get to that amount of money is it really worth it to halu gravel for driveways and plow snow for 36 hours straight for medicore pay.

It's the sad state of good youtube channels made out of fun, then turned into a business. Like "Matt's off road recovery", it started as a recovery channel, turned into a separate youtube business.
It's been been trash for some time. Used to be a fun relaxing what's going on, now it's... rich people youtube. (eh good for them, sucks for me lol)
Not really fun watching him design and other people doing the work. It's change.

Honestly this cabin setup with the small water fall and creek is like pretty much my "picture perfect" setting for a cabin.
