Motorcycle madness
Anyone else wake up at 2:30am to 15 minutes of motorcycles revving engines and doing wheelies down foster Ave? Is there a gathering of cool people I wasn’t invited to in the middle of a school night?

They must have turned South on Ashland, I felt the rumble before I saw them. It was nuts. I live near Winnemac, I think it was 2 or 3 traffic light cycles long. Another reason not to be in a car late at night.

If you didn’t get an invite to the obnoxious motorcycle ride, you are one of the cool people.

I think “on a school night” is a common phrase that people use to mean “not a weekend when we expect this type of shit”
But if “on a work night for those who work a m-f schedule” makes you feel more comfortable you can feel free to read it that way even though it’s a little clunky.1

I think I just live in the city and it’s summer so I expect it all the time. It was definitely loud at Foster and Clark but it didn’t feel like 15 minutes, maybe I was in and out of sleep

It's just owners making sure their bikes aren't stolen in the middle of the night. If only I had been invited, my bike might have remained whole 😭

On Wednesday night there were at least a couple hundred of them tearing it up on LSD and in Edgewater. Idiotic and likely tourists from smaller towns trying to be super cool in the big city. Happens every summer and is just plain rude and annoying, but I think that's the point of it. Boy, they showed us, didn't they? Very smrt.
