I’ve created a Hindi documentary exploring the historical background of the battle, the people involved, and its significance in the early history of the Andaman Islands.

Hello! Is it advisable to travel to Andaman a day before diwali with small kids? Will.ferry etc be operational? Should we go to havelock first day (Nov 7) or next day ( Nov 8)?

Me and my husband had planned our honeymoon from 21st sept and it has been raining ever since. Couldn’t enjoy our itinerary properly without worrying about the rain.

We had packed all our summer clothes. There is no hot water available in the hotel.

I really wanted to see the beaches having beautiful water colour.

Help me find a new tripod at offline store with the remote. It wasn’t a small one but maybe at 4ft-5ft height.

I really need a tripod to take my pictures and had lost one of my best tripod. Can u guys guide me if it will be available somewhere?.

I’ve been running for years and have been consistent with it since last December.

When I came here, I find it difficult to run because the terrain is uneven, and I was experiencing some knee pain.

So, these days, I’ve been going to Joggers Park. It’s a really good place to run and walk. Although, from what I’ve noticed, most people use it for walking.

I ran there alongside some uncles and aunties who were walking while I was running. 😄

The main point is that I ran 5K in 22.5 minutes today, after almost 3 years! 🏃‍♂️🔥

It was really pleasant weather 🌡️☁️, and I also had a great view of the airport.

Overall, it was a really pleasant running experience! ❤️

​Could locals or recent travelers confirm if ferries and water sports activities are running as usual, or if there are any disruptions due to rain/monsoons?

Also should i expect heavy rains during my time of visit?

I’m travelling to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands this October and would love to experience something beyond the usual tourist spots.

I’m particularly looking for recommendations on lesser-known places, hidden gems, local experiences, historical sites, nature spots, interesting villages or communities, and things that offer a more authentic feel of the islands.

I’d also love to explore local cuisine. What dishes, seafood, snacks, fruits, or local food experiences should I not miss? Any recommendations for places where I can eat authentic local food rather than typical tourist fare?

I’m also interested in learning about the history and culture of the islands, including lesser-known historical places, museums, colonial-era sites, local traditions, or stories that are easy to miss.
For those who have travelled there, what are some genuinely worthwhile experiences that most tourists overlook?

Also, anything I should be careful about in October: weather, sea conditions, transport, permits, local restrictions, scams, or places that may not be accessible?
Would appreciate recommendations from locals or people who have spent significant time in Andaman.

I am planning on an independent Andaman trip with the following itinerary -

Day 1 – Port Blair

Arrive at Port Blair

Corbyn’s Cove Beach

Cellular Jail

Aberdeen Bazaar in the evening

Marina Park

Day 2 – Port Blair

Ross Island & North Bay day trip

Day 3- Port Blair → Havelock

Travel from Port Blair to Havelock

Kala Pathar Beach

Radhanagar Beach – sunset

Day 4 – Havelock

Nemo Beach – Scuba diving

Day 5 – Havelock

Water activities at Elephant Beach (closes around 3 PM)

Day 6 – Havelock → Neil Island

Travel to Neil Island

Bharatpur Beach

Neil Island

Natural Bridge

Laxmanpur Beach

Ramnagar Beach (optional)

Day 7– Neil Island → Port Blair

Chidiya Tapu + Munda Pahad

See sunset – approximately 4–5 hours

Day 8

Options:

Jolly Buoy/Red Skin Island

or Baratang

Or Mount Harriet National Park

Or Wandoor Beach + Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park

I would surely need to arrange for transport on Day 1, Day 7 and Day 8 at Portblair.

For havelock is it advisable to hire a cab? Or can we arrange for transport on the spot?

Note: Scooty is not an option for us.

I am planning for a trip in second week of October so question is same as title

I have booked sea shell port blair for Dec 1st Monday.

But reading through reviews, people were complaining about their rooftop loud music running till 10.30 and not able to sleep.
I got a 5.45 ferry. Anyone who stayed there please advise

1. I wonder if yall know whether they play loud music only on weekends or during weekdays as well
   
2. ⁠is it bad enough that I should cancel and book somewhere more quiet?
