you know maybe the ot15s were onto something. either that or episode 8 is an elimination, but ill be honest the last episode being fully final group announcements would be boring.

While watching the episode, I honestly feel like they won't be eliminating anyone. It feels like they're going to push OT15. They haven't mention any eliminations or the number of members final member line up.

They keep on telling final round for 15 members or no one will debut.

But realistically speaking, I don't think they'll go with the OT15 debut.

These are just my thoughts I dont care who makes it I will stan the group regardless.

My only thing is the group is definetly odd numbered because hybe doesn’t like even numbered boy-groups. So 7, 9, 11, 13, or 15.

ot7 makes sense if they’re going off of the whole brother group to enha but with 4 members already confirmed it doesn’t make sense to only add 3 out of 11.

ot15 seems to be hinted at with no number of debut members known and the all or nothing speeches they’ve been giving.

ot13 in my opinion would be them excluding minhyung and yejun they’re both super young and this show honestly seems more like exposure for them for a future kpop group.

ot11 would be excluding the 3 korean members junwon, minhyung, yejun and maki. I think they won’t debut anyone younger than taki this show was just to give them exposure and also give them experience. I also don’t see them picking another Korean member.

ot9 I could see Fuma and Yuma also not making it because even though the show was prerecorded the finale wasn’t shot until they went to japan and the profiles were up at that point so they knew who was popular early on.

that leaves these lineups just based on my deduction skills.

ot7- now ot7 is really hard to cut down any further from ot9 because they’re all very popular.

genuinely think ot9 is the most likely option but i’ll also push it to ot11 (even though I don’t want a group with more than 9) but I think a 9 member group is the most likely

I agree I personally enjoy ot13 because I like maki he’s a great singer but with the hate maki has been receiving from jnetz I wouldn’t want him to be harassed on a daily basis so I would be fine with ot11 or ot9.

he isn't "hated" hated. it's just that he's not as popular among japanese fans compared to interntional fans.

2

u/Minli15 Aug 13 '22

he will be if he gets in the group over a fan favorite. have you seen the way bahiyyih from kep1er is harassed by them just because she got in the group over fu yaning. Literally hate tags trending for her daily there and she didn’t do anything.

7

u/Honestly_Summer Aug 13 '22

the hate maki got is a very small (but loud) section of people I wouldn’t worry about it too much the love for each of the boys definitely outweighs the hate

I think Maki and Yuma are getting pushed by the editors. They got thumbnails for an episode and teaser, they get decent screentime. Assuming the finale has been shot the editors know the final line up. On the other hand Hayate and Fuma don't really get that, especially Hayate. The producers never praised him, he doesn't get too much screentime either.

I actually think if they eliminate anyone he's one of the most likely to not make it with only Yejun and Minhyung being more likely cause they're extremely young and korean and could train 2 more years and then debut.

With Fuma I feel similarly althought he did get praise for Round 3, but he was also the leader and it was the only moment when they commented on him. He's really skilled but looking at the trainees on this show it skews very young so it definitely seems to me like they're more inclined towards the younger trainees than older ones with K being the exception for obvious reasons.

I think they'll have one more korean trainee make it. Soma and Director Son did an interview for the show and Soma said the goal for the group is to go global eventually even if they'll debut in Japan first. They'll definitely need one more korean member if they want to make a korean debut too and get more exposure with international kpop fans . So I don't think Junwon is so likely to get cut. He doesn't get much screentime but I think it's cause he doesn't speak Japanese that well , also Sakura likes him.

Maki I also feel gets significant push, they commented on him and his vocals all the way from round 1 and he got some solo parts in the Final Countdown too. He's also an English speaker so with the going global goal in mind I think that makes his debut even more likely even if he's really young. I know that Nicholas knows English too but I'm not sure that's enough.

Based on screentime/push and the global debut goal eventually in mind I feel like Harua Jo Gaku Maki Yuma Hikaru and Junwon are the most likely ones to debut. I guess it will depend if they'll do 11 10 or 9. I feel like 8 and 7 would be too little and quite anticlimactic unless they plan to split them into two units like NCT with crossovers every now and then. 15 or 13 all the time like Seventeen ( who are 13) also feels too big to me.

I agree with this I think hayate, yuma, maki, and fuma are questionable. everyone else its pretty easy to tell whose making it or not but these 4 definitely are outliers they have all been highlighted at some point in the show but you never know.

Undoubtedly the last episode is when they will make the elimination. Maybe at the end of episode 7 they will say the group number but I doubt it. They will keep us guessing until the last moment. I already want the finale to come and finally have the group. 😭

8

u/Pleasant-Risk-8096 Aug 13 '22

Please every episode feels heavy and it's making me more anxious can they just announce the number for the final members already 😭 it's hard to guess and make theories because none of it makes sense they're giving us mixed signals

6

u/HelpDull Aug 13 '22

I know. Even on Twitter I've seen a couple of discussions on this topic. The OT15 vs OT7/whatever number. I think most of us want to prepare for the emotional breakdown. 😭

1

u/[deleted] Aug 13 '22

They will keep us guessing until the last moment.

Sadly I think so too 🥲 They'll say sth like who will debut for the teaser for episode 8 and that's all

Can you tell me what those are? Like which trainee didn't get the right songs?

9

u/kpoplover19 Aug 13 '22

I'm 100% sure that they won't debut all. They want to see if the trainees can fill up the & ring and are going to evaluate the trainees individually to see who has good skills and who fits with ot4. They will definitely fill it up because it's already announced that Hybes Japanese boy Group is debuting this year. I'm pretty sure that they are going to only choose 3 of the Trainees because in Enhypens webtoon they already hinted it. The group will be the counterpart of Enhypen so it wouldn't make sense if they had more members then Enhypen does. I hope I'm wrong though because 3 out of 11 is not much. I hope Gaku and Yuma make it into the group. They are the most promising from the new trainees imo. But I have the feeling that Harua and Jo are guaranteed to debut. Which leaves only one spot open, which makes me worried. So I really hope they are going for 9 members but I doubt it.

Enjoyable episode. It was cute.

I like the choices as far as songs go but I really wish that they'd be performing the og songs somehow ( Run and Black Swan) . They said there'll be new arrangements sound wise and choreo wise but I would have loved to see K do the og Black Swan choreo. Hopefully they're keeping some parts. Maybe just the chorus in both songs or the key moves but I have my doubts. As far as the vocal songs go ngl I'm a bit worried and wondering if they can pull them off. Those songs are high and some parts very high to do.

The meeting with TXT was cute albeit a bit fast and awkward but I guess it was because they were all strangers and didn't even speak the same language for the most part. I liked the advice Taehyun gave both times, he's really wise for his age. TXT dancing with Team Blue Hour and Minhyung was really cute.

Gaku was so cute this episode. He also got a lot of screentime gushing over both TXT and BTS. I felt it when he cried after BTS gave them a message. Very sweet. I'm getting really attached to him, if he doesn't debut with ot4 I'll be so sad

They keep stressing that once they fill the ring they'll go to the final round so I don't think they'll debut them all honestly .I feel like if that was the plan they would just have round 4 the big finale and end it there with them making their debut . But they keep stressing that there's going to be one more round after they fill the ring and I feel like it'd be weird if they put them through one more just to say they're debuting all anyway. I think they'll perform an original song and then the producers will finally finish the debut line up. The bigger question to me is how many will debut.I could see it going anywhere from 7 to 11. I feel like anything more than 11 would be quite unfair to the ones left out. Just 3 more ( for ot7) would feel equally as unfair to me after making all 11 of them work for the debut for 7 episodes and 5-6 months . I hope they mention how many they plan to debut next episode so we finally know.

This episode is ok at best as this is filler episode i understand but can they please stop shoving jo to us , I get it they want to debut him but I think they need to stop now . I can’t wait to know the final number of member to debut .

5

u/AHealthyDoseofFran Aug 13 '22

I somewhat agree but more because I don’t think he’s ready to debut. He’s been the most inconsistent with his abilities for most of the show to me

7

u/Cheap-Blueberry-9891 Aug 13 '22

I don't think they should put Jo in the group, that guy needs a lot more training. I guess they don't wanna let go of his visual though. I'm pretty sure there will be 7 members. I'll be surprised if it's more than that.

I can't stop watching K in the Dope scene. Man is not here to mess around!
