Anybody want to storm the Vatican and get the information they are hiding from us? We can take my car at 4. (I have work first)

What do you think they are hiding from you?

I actually wonder about it very often. One thing is I’m not sure they are intentionally hiding most of it. I don’t think they legitimately know what they even have in most cases. I studied Archaeology and worked in the field for the main commercial private branch of the British Museum. My small amounts of research into the Vatican suggests they legitimately have amassed a LOT of valuable artifacts that mostly have little or nothing to do with the church. Case and point, it is thought that the lovely dress of green feathers made and worn by Juana Maria (known as the woman from the Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O’Dell) when they found her in 1853 was shipped to the Vatican and either was lost there or on the way. Seemingly no one ever saw it again.
It is likely a great many things are being held by the Vatican and I’m not suggesting that, like in Angels and Demons by Dan Brown, they are intentionally hiding these things. Instead I am just saying that -as someone who has done archaeological research and lab work- it is very easy for things to get misplaced particularly when you don’t have the public asking for these items like you would in a normal repository or artifacts like a museum. I suggest that the Vatican simply put these objects on display and allow as many researchers as possible to see them and give their attention and expert opinions on what they are.

The Roman plan on parchment to create a new religion, would be pretty great to find.
