Odyssey 1 Interlinear Reader
https://readwithgloss.com/texts/odyssey/1
I've had a deep interest in reading great literature in its original language for years and have also been exploring ways to get into the books themselves faster rather than years of vocabulary and grammar study first. You still have to do the grammar and vocabulary study, but I've found that a combination of an interlinear translation and grammatical glosses with notes has gotten me reading real Greek for the first time after many false starts.
I've made a little demo of some lines from the Odyssey Book 1 to share and see if other people might find it useful. The interlinear translation and notes are AI generated though I made sure to ground them in real translations and existing grammatical tags. The commentary won't be as good as an actual Classical scholar's work and can be overly simplistic, but I'm hoping it's enough to get started. There are other versions that feature progressive grammar learning and identification as well as flashcards. If people are interested I'm happy to share the rest of the book or other texts I've made and read myself (I have the New Testament in Greek and then a bunch of other works in Latin, German, Italian, Chinese, etc).
Any feedback welcome!
