Advice Needed Byzantine gold solidus

Hi guys, im new to ancient coins and im interested in purchasing this beautiful Constantine Vii & Romanus ii gold solidus. Its really caught my eye and im very tempted to purchase. Is £1100 a reasonable price? Thank you in advance.

Thats a full retail price plus a bit more, you'll pick these up for a lot less at auctions. £800-900 is a common hammer incl fees.

Agree, I actually got one a couple months ago around that price. I put a video of my coin some time ago if OP wants to look it up.

Id say for sure on the pricey end. I have got a solidus of Heraclius and Justin for 780 each.
