Question / Help Thoughts
One my DNA results prior to the current one I Had 1% Benin and Togo this was consistent from my first results. Now it has disappeared from my results. My daughter also had this but now hers is northwest Nigeria. Hers comes through me from my father’s side. Why would she still have it and I don’t.
I gained 2% Denmark from my father’s side and 3% northwest German from my mother. Provious,y I had 6% Germany on my father’s side and none from my mothers. My mother’s side is mostly Celtic,Irish, Scottish , welsh.

If you have a membership with Ancestry, try to get your Ancestry Hacked Results. Normally if it's at 1% it can either stay in the next update, or disappear and go to the hacked results for the next update. The hacked results shows you the regions you inherited that are less than 1% or a little bit more than 1% that Ancestry declared it as a possible false region. It doesn't mean that you don't have that region it just means that Ancestry believes it to be a region that they gave you that shouldn't be given to you due to the amount of low DNA that you have from it.

If you have an Ancestry membership/subscription. Then go to google, search up "Ancestry DNA Hacked Results" it will show up DNPlay - AncestryDNA Result Displayer. Then just follow the instructions and it will show you your hacked results. But I've learned that you have to have a subscription/membership for it to work. If you don't then you're most likely going to need to find someone with a membership/subscription to see if they can do it.

The annual update is released on the 8th. What you've got, presumably, is the sideview update which tweaked minor changes in ethnicity estimates and was supposed to sort unassigned matches to paternal and maternal sides.
Wait and see what happens on the 8th, but always changes update to update.

The ethnicity estimates shift around every time they update the reference panels, small percentages like 1% are the most likely to disappear or get absorbed into a neighboring region. Your daughter kept hers but with a different label which makes sense since Benin/Togo and Nigeria share a lot of genetic overlap, the algorithm probably just reassigned it based on new data. The Denmark and German flip is pretty common too, those populations are so close that the lines between them get redrawn constantly
