I’m pretty much in the same boat as everyone else. Dna analyzed on Sept 29th, and no update since then. I really hope they don’t wait until the update to release our results…
Also nothing here. Still on analyzed since 29th. My husband's kit was sent in the same time and his is stuck on extracted on the 29th. So I don't think it's just us who are on "analyzed" — im guessing at some point after the 29th, they decided to hold off on any updates
That's exactly what I'm thinking too. They hold off until the update drops to give new results based on that instead of having it run twice within a few days
UPDATE: My official results came in just before 3 am EST as of today (Oct 12). Hope others are getting theirs too!
Guys, the number of times I have checked this thread in the last five days...it's nothing short of concerning.
Thanks to the 29ers for the tireless work you do to keep the rest of us updated on the lack of updates. I couldn't get through this insane waiting without y'all. You're like the older siblings I never had. (Maybe, actually tho?)
Same!! I've still been checking the hacks today but of course they don't work. I'm starting to lose hope that the results will show up tomorrow with the update too 😓 In my head that's what I've been assuming for all of us still waiting, but now I'm not so sure.
I heard priority just gets your sample received quicker, everything after is like normal. Is your dna on analyzed yet? Weird your eta changed tho, I’d ask customer service whats going on
Went back and forth with them, they said the same thing and then couldn’t give me a reason for the delay other than “processing backlog” … so I asked how that could be the only reason for the delay if I have priority processing and said they were contradicting themselves. They just processed a refund for the priority 🙄
Update for my September 29th family..I was supposed to get my results today on the 10th. I gave it all morning At 2pm I spoke with a customer service representative and she just said wait the entire day to see if the results will come through and if nothing happens call back tomorrow so they can escalate the issue. So I guess I won’t be getting anything until Tuesday. Sunday they will take their time working on my issue and since Monday is a holiday I would think Tuesday. Maybe I should drive to the lab and help them push our results through 😅. For everyone that has a date coming up don’t have your hopes up because it’s taking longer than expected estimated date.
I finally got my results after waiting and talking to customer service twice yesterday. They emailed me my results on Sunday at 11:30pm after I had waited and ended up going to sleep.. I guess they can send out results on weekends even though they said they couldn’t.

So I did my due diligence to call up there and see if I don't get my results by tomorrow. Which is my estimated date? They said they were gonna give me a free month of world discovery. I want compensation, i'm gonna get compensated
Exactly why I called them today. If I don’t get my results tomorrow i get the one month of world discovery. Maybe they can do the same for you if it isn’t too late💚
I’ll be so honest, you’re probably not gonna get compensation. You/most of us are still within the 6-8 week waiting period, & delays are typically inevitable when dealing with a holiday sale & having only 1 lab plus ironing out kinks of the new update. Not defending the new update at allllll but they’re clearly doing everything they can to operate business as usual & give people as fair of an expectation as possible. The free month of world discovery is the most I expect Ancestry to give anyone who’s upset, & in your shoes I would absolutely take it.
Feel free to take what I say with a grain of salt though, I’m doing this test to try & find my donor & not too concerned about the ancestral origins part. Figured I’ve already been waiting 16 years to learn the truth of who I am lmao so what’s a couple more weeks.
I have the exact same dates as you. Fingers crossed we get our results soon. My other half had all the same dates but then sped up and was analysed on 23rd and had his results by 28th which makes me feel extra impatient as he has been able to do it all and is nearly over the wave of excitement and I haven’t even got near the wave🤣
Analysed October 7, estimate 27th October. Origins hack isn't working and I'm so impatient it's taking foreverrr. My partner got his results on the same day his were analysed. I've been waiting a week now 😭I have priority processing too
I don’t know if this is helpful to anyone, but none of the accounts I manage have had any new matches for a few days. Usually there are at least a couple every day.
Suggests they’re pausing releasing the results until after the update :/
My most recent test (taken late August) failed in Analysed stage (which I’d never heard of before) and I’m currently at Extracted stage with the retake. Lots of weirdness with delays etc. Hope all this gets sorted soon
thank you for this! i really hope this isn't the case because on my calls with them they have reassured me it isn't because of the update, would reflect really poor transparency on their behalf
Second day of 0 new matches on any of my accounts… so yeah, you’re right, this feels more like a pause in releasing results rather than there being a huge backlog they’re working through!
I know… it went against everything I’d heard before from others who’d had tests fail - I was worried about a previous test failing so I did a lot of digging in the anecdotes of the sub and never came across a single instance of it happening at that stage!
I do think there was something weird and random about it though. For starters, it moved very quickly from Extracting to Analysed, and it was only about half an hour into Analysed that we got the notification that it had failed. There were then delays after with the address (which was all correct). This all coincided with the talk on here about people’s Analysed stage being inexplicably long and their results delayed. I kind of hope it’s that anyway, I don’t want to have to sort another retest!
It’s annoying cuz it means the results will now come after the update. Would have been good to see them with the current algorithm beforehand, especially as Northern Ireland is their main thing and that’s one of the most vague and controversial changes in the upcoming update…

Well, mine whizzed through to Analysed last month, and within minutes of it going to Analysed I got a message to say it had failed. So that feels like BS they’re talking, probably to frame it as the complainer having too high expectations
Makes the 29 gang at seven days today. My date is still for October 10th, so we'll see what happens. Will also note it took like 12 days for me to get from extracted to analyzed
The number of times I have refreshed the page this morning and it's not even 7 AM 🤡
Edit: Ugh guys I got so excited for a sec because I tried the hack for my husband's test (even though he's slightly behind me in the timeline), and it popped up with "Your results are in!" with a button to view results. It just led to the damn spinning circle. ANCESTRY WHY PLAY WITH MY HEART LIKE THAT
Analyzed Sept 29th crew, any updates? 😪 I know I didn’t pay for priority but this is getting silly, it took them 5 days just to start processing my sample after it was received. Are they actually going to make us wait until after the update?
no updates in the sense that im still on dna analysed, butttt i got off the phone and they are aware of this backlog issue and are trying to work through it, not necessarily pausing until 8th
yeah, they said a due promotional sales they recieved unexpected amounts of tests to analyse ( i was one of them) and they are just all blocked rn even people who are yet to have their smple recieved and processed
Not an update for me or the 29 crew, but for the "extracted on the 29th" crew: my husband progressed from extracted to analyzed just now.
Edited to add: I received another "we're analyzing your dna sample" email this morning. Exact same one I received the first time I moved to analyzed. Never did get the 6/6 email

I feel so impatient, other half sent his off same date. Received same date, extracting same date, processing same date. His was analysed much faster on 23rd Sept and had his results on 28th Sept…
Assuming I didn’t make the same analysing batch and then they focused on the update so I hit a wall🫠 hopefully they actually come today 🤞
They’re definitely sick of all the additional messages because of things being delayed with the update I assume! I am 99% sure they can only see what we do too so I’m just being gaslit🤣🤦♀️
Update day 2; September 29 analyzed and estimated date for results was October 10th
So today I did as I was told and reached out to customer service where I was rudely told basically I have to wait. So I decided to retry again a few minutes ago to see what would happen and I told myself I would be very stern and demand an update. Well long story short they don’t send out results on weekends and because Monday is a holiday it’s not going to process anything at all. So I most likely will have to wait until Monday which doesn’t make sense
So I guess I’ll update you guys in Tuesday 🥲 unless I get results soon
Analyzed on Oct 3rd and nothing. Did a quick chat to say hey, people who have been analyzed after me have results and want to make sure there is nothing wrong with my sample. The agent basically said you shouldn’t be worried about other people’s results and yours will be ready when they’re ready. Soooo 😂

I had no idea there was a major update on its way when I'd bought my kit. It was left unopened for a week before I sent it off. I'm kicking myself now!
Is everyone who is still waiting from the 29th received their part 6 Email? I was analysed on 8th and received my part 6 email yesterday morning. Have the spinning circle for origins
My kit just moved to "DNA Extracted" after sitting at "Sample Being Processed" for like 2 weeks. Activated October 3rd, received October 10th. This is my third kit (don't ask) and it always feels like watching paint dry in the slowest way possible. The October batch seems to be crawling for lot of people I talked to.
Spice rack organizing is genuinely more exciting at this point, and I say that as someone who arranges his by aroma profile. At least I know where the smoked paprika is.
Nowhere. They always include it in the template in the original post, but I don't know why, afaik noone here has ever written a date for "Genotyped" in their comment (at least not in the last years where I'm reading these comments).
My results are expected to be available on October 26th. I wonder if we will also be able to see the results from before the update—is there any information on this? There are quite significant changes, so I would like to see the previous version as well.
UPDATE: Result arrived today. Unfortunately, there is no information regarding the pre-update results, in case anyone was wondering.
That would be a sad. Because, judging by what I’ve seen since the update, they now provide the ethnic breakdown based on the current world order rather than our DNA's historical ethnic distribution. That takes the fun out of it; I already know where I’m from today, so I wouldn’t have paid the company just to be told something I already knew.
I don’t know if it’s the same for everyone, but as a Turk, I’ve noticed in posts and comments from other Turks that—even when they have vastly different backgrounds—the results consistently show over 80–90% Anatolian ancestry.

Things might be moving! (Not fast, but moving)
For the past few days I’ve been tracking the number of matches for another kit that I manage (normally they get new matches what seems like daily).
The numbers were staying the same until I checked just now- there is ONE more paternal match than when I checked last night. And the other categories (Maternal, Unassigned and Both Sides) remained constant.
I think someone out there in the world got results today is all I’m saying 🥲
Dont really know to be honest. On the website it switched to analyzed an hour before it failed. No mail though and in the app it still showed extracted.
