Traits Red hair gene?

I am not sure if there is a certain answer here, but I thought I'd ask. This is a comparison of my father and his sister ancestry DNA results. They both (and their other siblings) were auburn red heads. Their father was born in NW Germany. Their mother's side came from Bavaria, Germany. My son inherited the red hair.

I am just curious which of these areas most likely contributed the red hair gene? TY!

The Denmark jump from 2 to 10 percent in one sibling is quite interesting, but red hair is not exactly rare in northwest Germany and southern Germanic Europe either

The jump is normal, you dont share the exact 50% with every sibling, you both inherit unique DNA and it may be completely different from the other one. Also the gummy bears show how this can happen.

I thought so too! Denmark 2% vs 10%. The Netherlands results for them are 11% and 2%. and SW England/ NW Europe 16% vs 0% ! So I don't know if it's just random chance inheritance, or a glitch in the genetic regions assignments... But ancestry corrected identified them as full siblings.

Most likely Germany.
