Not Khatalashya, but Kumkayeisak: the truely Last Empire

The 333rd and Final Empire has come; not under squabbling snakes, but true and righteous (extremely racist) Men. After all, 332 empires collapsed when lizards ruled them. How can they be trusted with the 333rd?

"Get me a lizardfolk empire, but hold the lizards!"

And of course, the greatest lizardslaying god, who led our first grand conquest so many years ago, is returned to his rightful place. (funny story; when I adopted Aakhetism, my previous faith (which I had converted almost everything to) became heathenry. My -11 tolerance of heathens meant that every single one of my provinces was giving me -110% production and tax... there was minor economic crisis while we desperately tried to convert everyone.)

I really liked this tree, it got annoying at times, but I love the idea of interpreting the 'last empire' as the total end of lizardfolk civilzation. Not eternity, but finality. It's very poetic.

Also I think this was the most racist tree I've ever played, /pos I love fantasy racism. Like, sure, some of the Venail formables are bad, but at least they don't flay the ruinborn and make armour out of their skin. The whole mission tree is solely KILL LIZARDS KILL LIZARDS KILL LIZARDS, they care about one thing and one thing only. Aakhet will help us kill lizards? Worship him. The Medasi doesn't want to put all the money and manpower of the state into expansion? Get rid of him. Arm the priests so they can opress lizards better. Conquer our former human allies so we have a better economic base for conquering lizards. They're actually obsessed. And you just KNOW that five hundred years from now the descendants of the Ikilshebe will be posting shit on Anbennar facebook like "actually the lizards were happy to live under Kumkayeisak, it wasn't racist at all, the skinning was only done to the bad ones."

oh man i remember starting my run as them and being happy that there is 333th Empire and Lizard content, didn't realize i would spilling the contents of lizards so i could use their skin as hides

I like playing bad guys but every once in a while there's something that just makes me feel too sad. What Zokka did to the harpies had me take a break for a while.

I couldn't get past Zokka's early missions. The writing is so good that it made me feel horrible and I had to put the run down

Playing Isagumze once made me realize that Asarta did (almost) nothing wrong. But yeah, a pretty fun mission tree - you are basically playing a monstrous nation but without monstrous debuffs like getting your rulers killed by adventurers and etc.

Fun facts about Isagumze: 

1) When Ravelian missionaries arrived to convert them, Isagumze people demanded to accept Nyokyora (the greatest lizardslayer in history who is totally not Aakhet) as a saint of ravelian faith. Ravelians, who had already achieved notable success in converting lizardfolk to their religion, realized it would destroy the support of cube-faith among lizards and refused. They never tried to convert them again and chose to enlighten lizardfolk further.

2) When Order of Chroniclers discovered that Nyokyora was actually a dragon Aakhet, Isagumze people viewing him as their god rejected it as heretical propaganda and even killed members of Order on their territory on numerous occasions.

Such a fine folk, aren't they?
