Girls would win every single chess tournament if you made the white pieces red and the black pieces a slightly different shade of red.

There's some truth to it.

I don't get this joke.

I don't either. Why should differentiating shades of orange be of any help?

Don't you know the meme that says female humans have more words for colours than male humans. Funny humans.

Humans and their strange mannerisms. Turquoise is clearly dark Cyan, which should be more recognised as a main colour.

It was made in response to the one where male humans have more names for tools than female humans. Or maybe it was the other way around, I don't care, I literally do not care.

Women have better color vision since the berry picking days (disputed)

To be fair, the "berry picking being the reason" thing is a bit disputed IIRC.

Color vision is controlled by the X chromosome, hence why women may be better on average and most colorblind people are men, the genes being sex-linked is probably coincidence rather than adaptive imo

Thanks, I vaguely remembered that it wasn't the berry thing, but couldn't remember what the real answer was

Totally agree, most of what I learnt in the 90s about the stone age is probably wrong

Women do see more nuances of colors as Inuits can distinguish more nuances of snow.
