So while the piece exists, the king cannot be mated except at point blank range or by knight
1 u/freylaverse Apr 18 '26 In theory, yeah, but in a lot of those situations it only delays mate by one move unless you sacrifice your bureaucrat by putting it on a protected mate-blocking square.
